My theme this summer is SUMMER - this is a photo taken in 1989 at the beach. Could be any number of beaches around CA as Tom was an avid windsurfer back then and we were at a beach many weekends during the warm weather. This looks like the beach in Alameda - it also looks like there wasn't much wind!
Maggie and Zac were 2 1/2 that summer - they loved the beach and taking rides on the windsurf board.
What fun to live near the beach!

ReplyDeleteGreat idea, Time Warp Tuesday, to have a space to reminisce and share pictures of your kids. I like reading about your pre-nest life (I say rather calmly as I stare down the barrel of empty-nest).
ReplyDeleteMy husband used to wind surf before he knew me (he and his ex-wife's thing). He sold the board (? rig? boat? sails?) after we were together. I never tried it and think I wouldn't be very good at it, given what is required. But I wouldn't mind sitting on a beach watching him do it.
It's wonderful to raise your kids near the beach.
