This morning Ann Romney was asked point blank by a reporter about what her husband was going to do for women. Yes, she "loves women!" but what will his administration do,
specifically to help women.
Mrs. Romney said that women don't care so much about their jobs or their husband's jobs but care about the future of the country for their children. That was her answer.
I say - want to do something simple and specific to help future generations of women?
How about equal pay.
The fact that this election is even close is just baffling to me.
ReplyDeleteI want the choice of what happens with and to my body.
ReplyDeleteYou don't need equal pay if you don't need or want to work. At least I'm assuming that's part of her deal.
ReplyDeleteWow---that's the extent of her thoughts on women's issues?
ReplyDeleteGood grief.
I'm with Smalltown me -- I want power over my own body and what happens/ does not happen to it.
ReplyDeleteDamn straight. He can voice support for the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act. For starters.
ReplyDeleteHe could also go back to his original position where women's choice is concerned.
I was just saying tonight (after watching Michelle Obama's awesome, moving and authentic speech) that Ann Romney's "I love you, women!!" was the height of drippy, phony, grossnes. I let out such a loud groan when I heard it. Was all I could do not to throw the remote right through the screen.
Excellent comeback, Juggling Jenn!
