We are having a little glimpse of Spring here in the Bay Area. After being enveloped in lingering damp grayness since December, it has warmed up o the mid-sixties and the sky is impossibly blue.
I saw patches of yellow daffodils and some flowering plum trees in blossom. People are out walking, riding bikes, tops are down on cars, dogs are being trotted around the park. I suspect the sale of sunglasses rose a bit in the local shops.
I cleaned off the BBQ last night and grilled a flank steak for my Valentine. And I barely complained at all about going to Ally's soccer game, I just turned my face into the warm sun and soaked up the vitamin D.

We had a lovely warm day yesterday -- doors and windows open for the fresh air. How nice!
We finally had a lovely sunny afternoon on Saturday. Blue sky, not a cloud for miles. It was so rejuvenating. And daffodils? I want to see and smell some. I have so many memories of daffodils my mom planted along a white fence that lined my family home. So many. We don't get many daffs here in Texas. Maybe I need to present my husband with the challenge. He's the gardner, not me. I'm just the nose and the eyes who appreciate the flowers.
About two weeks ago, I saw daffodil stems pushing up through the dirt. Then we got 15" of snow and I haven't seen anything green at all.
So. Unbelievably. Jealous. Daffodils are months away for me. *sob*
