BE HONEST WITH ME

In person this shoe isn't so white. It is what they call "stone" when it relates to khaki pants, which is what I had in mind for them to match.
I bought them because they were really highly rated and they were really cheap. Really extra cheap. And good "comfort" style shoes are usually so expensive.
Let me tell you. The ratings were right on. They're really comfortable. Wear all day with no socks comfortable.
So tell me straight. Are they really ugly?
P.S. Maggie - I already know what you will say....I won't wear them when you are home!

They are NOT ugly. If they are comfortable, they are beautiful. I've given up on "pretty" shoes that hurt my feet. Men wear ugly shoes all the time.

I wouldn't choose them simply because I'd be worried about them getting dirty.

It's nice to know that they're super extra wonderfully comfortable.

I agree with Jen in that I avoid light colored shoes because I can't keep them clean. Comfortable is most important.

I wouldn't do a double-take if I saw someone wearing them, but a color would be nice:). They wouldn't work in Michigan this time of year but I suspect they're just fine where you live! I'm to the point that I think it's all about comfort...

Hi Brightside Susan! I've enjoyed your comments on TWC and am glad to finally have stumbled upon your personal blog.

To be honest, I do not think these shoes are very attractive. I am all for comfortable shoes, but do not believe comfort and beauty have to be mutually exclusive. And I would respectfully disagree with smalltownmom's assertion that comfort equals beauty.

The heavy dark soles weigh down the light color of uppers in a clunky manner, and the overall design of the uppers is rather blah. I think there are many other comfortable shoes out there that are better designed and prettier.

They may be (and probably are) more expensive than this pair, but a shoe whore like myself is willing to pay a little more for pretty shoes that are comfortable rather than settle for comfortable shoes that are ugly.

I realize not everyone shares my priorities or taste; I wanted to be honest, though, since that's what you requested. See you around the Colony!
