My daughter Maggie came home from Philadelphia for a long weekend. She just finished her junior year at Penn and wanted a break before she starts her 2 jobs for the summer - one an unpaid intership with a company that does food themed tours of the city and one a paid job with the Ronald McDonald Foundation.
She brought her young man (of 6 months) to meet us. They planned a whirl-wind tour of the area including a trip to Monterey to see her twin, Zac. They also spent some time with the parents. We had a nice BBQ last night and sat out on the patio in the warm night air, drinking Sangria and talking.
Aside from the pleasure of seeing our girl, the visit got Tom motiviated to paint the bathroom which had been de-wallpapered about a year ago!

Beautiful girl, a nice evening, and a painted bathroom. Perfect weekend.
So glad you had a wonderful weekend. Your daughter is beautiful.
It sounds like a great visit. She is gorgeous.
I am a firm believer in having at least one big party a year--it's the only way to get home improvements done.
