THE NEVER ENDING JOB SEARCH

This is how I felt after my interview on Monday.

This is how I feel today after I have not gotten the call about being the one they hired.

I am not sure what I could have done better, so this is what I am doing now.

Thanks for all the good wishes. I had really hoped this was it, but I sent out a couple more applications today...

Ugh. I don't know because I haven't been reading this blog for very long, but what kind of job are you looking for? I hope for goodness from the universe for you!

Hi, just found your blog. That must be very disheartening. Try not to get too down on yourself. The competition for jobs in this economy is fierce. If you felt the interview went well, it most likely did. I recall reading once that in addition to sending a note thanking the person who interviewed you, it isn't a bad idea to follow up with a call asking the interviewer if there was any specific reason why you weren't offered the job. They may be able to give you some insight and also, if the person offered the job decides not to accept, they will know that you are still interested.

Best of luck with your employment search.

What a bummer. Good for you for soldiering on!

Great suggestion from Karen. I have the job I've got now after being the runner up candidate. The guy they hired bailed out after 4 weeks, and then they called me to ask if I was still interested.
